I have one that I bought about 25-26 years ago, maybe 27 yrs (God, I am getting old:( )...It has some sharpening marks on the blade...are these collectable?

To me, any older BUCK is a collectable piece. Obviously, the older the better. Once a particular knife has been discountinued, as has your's it is even more so. A lot of collectors "specialize" in a particluar era, or style of Buck so what might be a "must have" for one is just a "nice addition" to another's collection.

As to the value, I will leave that up to those much more knowledgeable than me.

The marks aren't  , but there is quite a bit of interest for these old black micarta handled 124's. If you want to put it up, the craftsmen at Buck will do an excellent job of buffing and polishing it up. I sent one in some time back that was quite beat up and it looked almost new when it returned. Great knife wish I still had it. Let me know if you want to part with yours. Peace,
