Hello!
I was talking with Boru 13 a bit and he said to post this here to what everyone's take was.
I have been enjoying my time on the forum since March after a 15 year or so hiatus from the knife world. I immediately purchased the Platinum membership and have been enjoying its benefits since. As I approach my renewal date, I got to thinking what would make things better for me (a few things outlined below) and how could I pay the site more money to provide some additional benefits.
At first, I was thinking of a level between Platinum and Pirate. Pirate's benefits are not published, but from my research, it appears you get some more messages and that's really about it? I, ofc, could be wrong about that. The issue with Pirate is the cost, at $500/year and $1000 upfront I doubt the site owner sees much if any revenue from that(?)
So instead of a level between the two, I thought why not just rebrand Pirate?
Some ideas:
Cost: $120/year
Benefits:
Everything platinum +
- X amount more DM messages and conversations.
-ability to relist knives every 7 days. Rest of exchange rules remain the same.
-a pirates only section (for fun I guess)
- There could be other things well, but the above would bring some real value to the table imo and may be enough.
- an outlier.....discounts at shows. The owner of this site most likely knows everyone who puts on the big shows...???? It would be a cool sales pitch to say pirates get 15% off show tickets for all Blade and other shows throughout the year.
Just some thoughts. What does everyone think? This would not affect any other paid level - they would remain the same.
