This knife is for my Dad, in hopes that he'll stay retired this time, and go fishing. The wood is a piece of "Ifil", which is the local name in Guam where we found a big heavy chunk of it about thirty years ago. He'd been packing this piece of wood around all this time. Seasoning, I guess...:). The wood has some pretty nice chatoyance in the bright sun, but looks pretty dang dull in a poorly lit room. The blade is BG-42, bolsters are copper, mosaic pins, nothing really new.

I really like the looks of that knife- I assume that the edge isn't really all chewed up like it looks in that picture? I'll bet it really looks sweet when the sunlight lights up that wood against the copper!

that was my attempt to photoshop the background out of the picture, or maybe my serrations need a little work? hhaha

I really like the overall finish and way you worked the handle contouring with the bolster. The rear lanyard hole is very nicely finished out, too.

Now, go take some photos that will really show it off :D

Not the best of pics, that's for sure, but at least they give a decent idea what the knife looks like and it looks good.

I like the general appearance of the knife.
Like how you contoured the copper bolsters with the handle material. I like the copper in general for both bolster and mosaic pins. Like your lanyard and hole treatment as well.

Lot of good stuff going on here. It deserves better photos.
