A "Redoubt" Bowie.....

Completed a few months ago: This was the first use of this
particular wrought iron from a wagon tire recovered from a creek
bank in Cass County Mo.
The blade is10" of W2, and the handle is dark Sambar stag.

Russ, no doubt that 'Redoubt' is one fabulous bowie! Love your lines, the stag is special, and the fittings tell a wonderful tale. Superb. :thumbup:

This is actually a very simple knife which exemplifies the beautiful design subtleties of Russ's work.

Really, just a sweet sweet knife that pushes all of my buttons.

The wrought iron does have an unmistakable look to it that I really like. I expect
to use it more often...

I thought the dark...almost black & white photo implied the piece's purpose
and carachter better than more colorful background might.

I'm sure it would look much better in person or with better photography, but that classic shape and awesome stag are easy to see.
