Spark,

I'm not sure if vBulletin has a setting for this - but is there an option for "Mark this forum *and all sub-forums* read" as a Forum Tools / Action?

For example, I like checking out the For Sale by Individual forums for the Production, Custom, and Gadgets, etc., but I'm not interested at this time to check out the Buck or Busse / Swamprat forums. It'd be nice to quickly mark those forums as read as well without having to navigate into them, or doing the mark all forums as read...

Thanks!

There's one for marking EVERY forum read at the bottom of the general forums listings - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums

Just marking a particular forum read? Go to that forum's main thread listing page. Click "Forum Tools" (at the top right). You'll find it there.

Ok, then there might be an issue with the marking forums read function:

Just visited "Whine & Cheese", noticed that the unmentionable forum had new posts, went into it, marked it as read, all threads show no new activity, click on "Whine & Cheese" at the threaded forum list at top of page. The unmentionalbe forum shows new activity - even though the newest activity corresponds to what I had just marked as read while in that forum.

Similiar things happen while in the For Sale by Individuals. Go into Production Knives, mark forum as read, new activity in the Buck and Busse sub-forums are shown as read. Click back into the main For Sale by Individuals forum, Busse sub-forum shows new activity - even though the time stamp indicates that it was marked read when I was in the Production Knives sub-forum.

The Mark Everything as Read seems to work well though. This is minor issue though...
