A request to Knife Makers who have web sites

I really enjoy looking at the sites of Knife Makers. I have one small suggestion though. It would help (well it would help me at least):D if you would put a basic pricing structure on the site, just so I have an idea what a knife would cost if I were to order. I understand prices would change depending on steels used, handle materials etc. But a basis from which to work from would be great.

With the number of handle scale, sheath, and blade decoration options that would not be practical on larger sites. The problem that we already face is the changing cost of raw materials which forces almost constant updating of prices.

The best thing to do is contact the maker and have a long chat with them and be as clear as possible with what you want. Then you let the maker have a little leeway with design and details. When the final design is ready you should be pleasantly surprised.

Email contact is fine for initial contact but nothing replaces the personal contact by phone or better yet in person.
