Hey guys, I'm sure I'll catch all kinds of "flak" w/ this one but I'm doin it anyway...
Like most of you good folks before I buy a knife (or anything for that matter) I do a good bit of research, read reviews, watch youtube, etc... but especially when it comes to a blade or gun....
Like everything else in life people have their preferred brands, whether its Ford vs Chevy, Red Sox vs Yankees, H&K vs Sig, or Cold Steel vs Sog... and everyone will let u know right from the start who/what they side with. After a few years of reading reviews, browsing forums, etc. you can sort of pick out who is biased towards one thing or another. For the newcomer my advice is take these reviews w/ a grain of salt. Like many have said in a particular review "handle both, buy from a known quality maker". This could not be more true... What I can tell you is that if you are a "knife-nut" whatever your next purchase may be, it won't be your last. You will probably end up getting the other model as well, as I have done hundreds of times. There is no such thing as the "Knife to end all knives" or "the last knife I will buy"... there is simply too many models out there. SO.... pick whatever knife you have an affinity for when u have the money, and you won't be dissapointed. There is Busse fanboys, Cold Steel haters, ESEE lovers, and Bark River Bashers... I own knives from all of these makers and they have all served me well...
