Take up homebrewing :)

Yeah okay... sure... riiiight....

Like I don't already have enough distractions! Let's see...

knifemaking
BBQ
fishing
drinking
remodeling my decrepit dwelling
keeping the Missus happy (full-time job)
drinking
jumping to conclusions
did I mention drinking?

Just one! At least if you had two left they might reproduce. :D

Now what am I going to quench my blades in? All I got is half a bottle of Knob Creek and that Coors Light in the fridge.

Shucks, when you mention Baby Huey around the kids of today they don't know what the heck yer talkin' about. I said to one guy at work, "Hey that dude is one big Baby Huey-lookin' Mother-effer," and he looked at me like I had two heads. He didn't even know who Baby Huey was. Sad, huh?

Jeff, yes, that is sad! We remember Baby Huey, of course. Now, pertaining to the beer gone, that's a tragic loss! You have my deepest sympathy. You haven't re-stocked yet? Been laid up, huh?

Yep, I'll restock it tonight. ;)

Any ideas on what I should stock it with? HEY! I Know! How about... yeah! How about... COORS LIGHT! Oh yeah! :D

Oh, the Horror! How could you let that happen Jeff! You're neglecting that poor fridge, it's going to have issues now for the rest of its life! You get out there and buy some more beer for it right now. :)

Oh, wait a minute, you said Coors light? here's an easier solution....go get your garden hose and open the door slightly and turn the hose on and fill up the fridge...that'll be pretty equivalent to Coors light! :D

Yes, with all of your other hobbies, you should start homebrewing! Since you're like me and like to build things, build a RIMS system to help simplify the all grain brewing process, you can brew 13 gallons in about 8 hours, and with the RIMS, it's not all hands on all the time, you can be forging or doing other shop stuff at the same time! :) Now that's multitasking! :)

your punishment is to restock it with diet pepsi.....

Whats a RIMS system, Darren? Is that like a reflux still or something?

Recirculating Infusion Mash System = RIMS

Here are a few links:

Commercial RIMS system:

Home Built RIMS:

Also, here's another great site, but appears to be down at the moment:

http://www.hbd.org

...and there are plenty others out there just google RIMS and brewing. ...Be careful, brewing your own can be just as addicting as knifemaking! ....but having a RIMS really simplifies the process and makes it less hands on/time consuming.

Hey the choices you fellas are giving me aren't very good. One guy says Diet Pepsi. The other says Narragansett. Sheesh, I think I like the water hose idea. At least my dog can get a drink too!

Darren, I did the home brewing gig for a while. More trouble than its worth imho. I'd rather savor the flavor of another man's brew, like Mr. Coors. :D Yeah yeah yeah... I know it don't have any alcohol to speak of. That's what KNOB CREEK and GLENFIDDICH are for!
