A ridiculously good deal! A hefty backwoods beater for 30 Euros!

Sounds top-tier, m8!

Can we have some details? What flavor of steel, and blade length, for a start?

It would be good to hear about your personal experience with the knife. Enthusiasm is a great start, but a story needs a personal connection.

The blade is full tang in 5Cr15 and 130mm in length and 4mm thick with beautiful wooden scales. The knife just arrived so I can't tell you much other than that it's well balanced, feels tough and good in the hand and that the fit and finish is good. I picked it up as a beater to keep in my BJ40 Land Cruiser to use as the needs arise.

this should work for the pic

price seems good - but did they do a good heat treatment?... let us know after you use it for a few weeks?

My understand is that 5Cr15 is usually hardened only to about 52 to 56 HRC, so edge retention is not a strong point. However, the steel is very tough and easy to sharpen.

It looks like those fastener heads protrude above the scales somewhat. I think I'd have to countersink those a bit more. Seems like they could get irritating in short order. I'd like to hear your opinion on this after you've had a chance to use the knife, if you don't mind.

Actually the slightly protruding screw heads are an element of a knife that I like very much. They add style and are in no way uncomfortable. I'll post my impressions after I've had some time with this blade. So far, it excels at slicing sausage.
