My latest one and I'm really proud of how this turned out!
San Mai Damascus Bowie
7 1/2" San Mai damascus (Ariel Salaverria - 1010 and 1070 with a 5160 core) blade (1/4" thick, 1 5/8" wide) - 12 3/4" Overall length.
File work on the spine. Fileworked guard in San Mai damascus. Deer stag and sheep horn handles nickel silver pins and spacer.
Skull crusher and rectangular lanyard hole. Hand made leather sheath with sheep horn tightener.
I had the damascus into a bath of acid with copper, to get reddish motives to go with the handle colors. More into the guard, which later on inspired me to do it (a little less though) to the blade too. It shows more on the ricasso area, then on the rest of the blade is just a touch, fading away, and it shows more or less depending on the angle of light. I matched this with red details on the sheath too.
