Hello,
today I finished this "Wanderer" model.
A 85mm blade from 1.2442, silver soldered guard from marine grade bronze, satinated, spacers from aluminium, copper and mamuth ivory, sambar and the pommel from mamuth, too.

May I ask how you finished your bronze guard? Just with a high grit sandpaper finish? Really beautiful piece. Love the way that handle is put together.

Thank you guys!
That hole... maybe I hit to hard, stamping the logo :P my fault.
The guard is first polished and after sanded with scott brite.

I kinda dig the elongated hole in the blade, makes it a little different and I like different.
IMO, the knife would have benefit from a darker material as opposed to the light colored mammoth. Perhaps a medium colored wood, or even stacked leather.
just my 2-cents

I like everything about that knife, very nicely done.

Very nice work. I don't have an issue with your makers Mark. I really like the Ivory, not trying to be contrary with Kevin, just personal preference. Thanks for sharing

Thank you guys for your comments!
Kevin, thank you for your opinion!!! Once a year, I make a knife for myself, for EDC, testing etc.
The last one was a dark knife, blued blade, black micarta, buffalo.
This time. i wanted something bright.
The next one I'll make for myself, a Scagel style, leather stacked handle, sambar pommel.

Nicolas

Thank you my friends!!!

Yesterday I had the pleasure to take it to a hike in the andalucian mountains
