......I am a confirmed Sebenza addict and make no bones about it. I do not want to be cured, and will resist any type of treatment that might be geared to try and cure me of this "awful
" addiction! With that said I did something today that is not altogether in my character; I bought a Benchmade knife!
Before you fire off let me just say.......I'M KIDDING! Not about buying the BM though
I bought a 806SD2. I am very impressed. The knife I got was a pre-pro and everything about it was top flight. The grinds on the blade were excellent. Fit anf finish was outstanding. The edge came with a razor edge that just popped the hair off my arm. This is a fairly large knife with a good weight to it. the axis lock gave good consistent lock up with nary a wobble in the blade. I like the beveled oval shaped opening hole and the D2 blade steel is really to my liking. I found the TSEK 805 to be an easier blade to open but I wanted the D2 over the 440C.
I carried the knife in my right rear pocket tonight to my part time job at Wal Mart and got good use from it in opening up cardboard boxes. The D2 just sliced right through them and it still pops the hair off my arm when I left tonight.
I won't replace my Sebbie with this knife but it will get some carry time and altenate with the Cuda MAXX as my "back pocket blade"
Any other 806 fans out there. Lets hear from you on your thoughts.
