I gave my MT LCC D/A a second chance. When I originally received it from 1sks in December 2000, the blade was not hair popping sharp as I've heard was the norm with MT's. The blade was also not quite centered when in the closed position, however MT techs stated that this is normal due to the tension of the liner lock pressing against the blade. About two months ago I dropped my LCC on asphalt and put a really nice scratch on the bolster. I sanded the scratches out but the bead blast finish was gone. I then attempted to put a satin finish on the bolster but I ended up with two unevenly finished bolsters that I could not get a uniform finish on. I gave up on the LCC and decided to put an attractive price on it and posted it in the for sale forum. I decided that I would sell a couple other knives with it and buy a Sebenza. I kept BTTing the post and still received no takers after about a week. It was then that I decided that I would give the LCC a second chance. I called MT and got my RA number and shipped out the LCC with a 15.00 dollar check and a list of repairs that I wanted. I got the LCC back today. The blade was still not centered, but I was not disappointed because I knew that the strenght of the lock caused the blade to be slightly off-center and besides, it was purely cosmetic and did not affect the operation of the knife. I was pleasantly surprised that the blade was sharpened to a hair popping super scary sharp edge. The solid pocket clip that I requested was installed on the knife and a new very neatly tied lanyard was attached. MT breathed new life into my LCC and I am grateful to MT for the wonderful service.
