Dear All knives masters,
I bought several Japan made Parker knives few days ago.
The seller said they are made in SEKI, JAPAN.
But there are nothing other than "JAPAN" on the blade.
Is it possible some knives made in SEKI but stamped only "JAPAN?"
I was confused.
I have to sell these knives, but I hate to tell customers they are made in SEKI, JAPAN without any proof.
I am afarid that my customers will doubt my honesty.
I probably just tell them they are made in Japan and sell them less than SEKI made knives.
I appreciate any little help.
Thanks.
Eric

Hi Eric,

There are quite a few knifemakerrs in Seki-City, Japan, especially back when Parker was making knives in Seki, they were more than likely just marked just with "Japan". The Seki markings really got strong with Al Mar and then Spyderco.

The master has spoken. no other answer is needed.

If you can post pictures, us in Bernard Levine's forum might be able to identify the contractor for those:).

My Endura 4 is marked "Seki-City Japan." My Caly 3 is just marked "Japan." Perhaps Sal will comment on where the Caly 3 was made.

It's made in Seki-City. That particular maker prefers to use the "Japan" mark instead of the "Seki-City" mark. Local rivalry.
