hello all,

John has offered to make an extra version of the winning knife design from my poll HERE. It still doesn't have a name, BTW, whoever orders one first gets to name it and have ti stamped 31.

Here is the link to the order thread, just in case :D

This extra is for us to use in a passaround! Going with the, Jk Knives up, up and away, them of the last few weeks I want to run this one a little differently though. He'll make it and send it to me to be handled and sheathed or whatever, then I'll send it out to whoever the first reviewer is.

-There is no cost to enter, other then sending the knife onto the next participant with appropriate insurance ($80) USPS priority
-Each participant is to post a review and a link to that review in this thread
-You must be legally allowed to own and use and receive in the mail the knife
-Legal or not you have to be 21 years of age or over to participate
-Please email me your address (to: pahward@hotmail.co.uk) I will forward on your address to whoever goes before you int he passaround
-The 4 who sign up have to agree to post in one of the following areas (that's one area for each person):

  1. Outdoor Gear, Survival Equipment and More
  2. Wilderness and Survival Skills
  3. General Knife Discussion
  4. Knife Reviews and Testing

So when you sign up below please state which area you would like to post a review in. Makes sure you realize the review will have to be appropriate to that forum, i don't mean to spam anyone who enjoys visiting these parts of BF anymore then I'd like someone bugging us with inappropriate posts while looking at the JK forum :p. So if you're going to do "Wilderness and Survival Skills" that pocket knife better be out in the wild, making some fire or cutting up a nice freshly caught fish or something :), hence a Jk for all occasions

After that you can post your review anywhere (appropriate) here, the general forum (if it's appropriate!), but please post a link to your review here in this thread so we can all follow along.

What else...oh yes, the PRIZE is the knife. I'll figure out a way of deciding the best" one, maybe names form a hat, or votes from a poll, but one of the reviewers will get the pass around knife for free (again, save the cost of sending it on to the next participant.)

So, anyone interested?

Thanks again, and to john for offering to make us a free knife!

p.s If anyone can think of somewhere else to post a review that would be appropriate, then I'll up the number of participants if you are willing to do so and add you in

Current participants (as yet in no particular order):

1. Mqqn
2. Grunt Solider
3. KYTurkey

I will post in whatever forum is needed - I can do a review that will be appropriate for any of the listed forums, and I commit to doing a review that will be appropriate for at least two of the listed forums.

i know you could :)

thanks everyone!

I can probably post up wherever - but usually only check Outdoor Gear or WS&S besides here.

If it will work out for me to have it the last week of October I can probably use it on some critters and post in Hunting & Fishing

Thanks KYTurkey

depending on when the knife can be ready I'll make a passaround order, I believe I have everyone's address at this point :)

I'm going to try and get the sheath made soon, University is back in session so I'll be teaching and a bit more busy but I should have this ready to go out pretty quick, who wants it first? I know KYTurkey wants it int he last week of October but we could probably get it to him by then easily enough if someone, or both, goes before him@

Sorry all, I'll get this organized soon, dragging my feet till i get to make the sheath and such

I am ready when you are - I also have the thin hunter coming as well - all good.

getting ready to ship this one out, so I guess I'll just pick at random when it comes time to send :)

I'll have this ready to ship out Monday. Since I'm sending Andy a few other things as well I'm going to just go ahead and make him first in the line up, he can send it to grunt and then onto KYturkey, and if no one else wants to try, we'll have a winner then! :)
