Scott just finished a new chef and paring knife set. Both blades were forged from W2 and were fitted with Desert Ironwood handles, nickel-silver bolsters, and ns pins. Both blades also have hamons, although the one on the chef's knife is rather subtle and didn't show up in the photos.

Nice set Scott. If you don't mind how thick are these at the spine near the bolster? By the way congrates on the JS. I wished we would could have more time to talk at San Antonio.

Thanks for sharing.

The chef's knife is 1/8 inch thickness at the bolster and the paring knife is 3/32. I'm working on a similar chef's knife today but it's going to get a carbon fiber handle I think.

Thanks. San Antonio was fun, but it all went by so fast . . . well, at least after Friday morning:) I wish I'd had more time to talk as well. Will you be at Blade in June?

Scott

Scott, I will not being going to Blade this year. Too many obligations with the family. Hopefully next year.:)

Take Care
