not bad is'nt it ?:D

I have'nt them yet in hand, so i can't told you how it feels to prepare food with, but next week, i'll post you a review, ASAP as i could...

With a set like that in my kitchen, I might actually be inspired to cook. Very nice indeed. What steel was used?

Roger

he use X75 for it, as it is carbon steel, it soon will have marks, but i don't care, i like carbon steel !:)

The use clay to optain the "temper line"

The maker is Pierre-Henri Monnet. He does some incredible work. How does a person contact this maker, and how is his English? My French sucks.

he post in the European forum, he could probably pay a visit here?;)

If he order steel and woods over the net, i suspect he could discuss a bit in English (otherwise i could translate).
I'll ask him to post some here some pics of his native bowies, they are gorgeous also !

hello!
Thanks for your comments.
I'm sorry for my poor english... :( School is very far and i dont speak english every day in my forest...

I like Daniel Winkler knives...:D
Maybe one day can i would made beautifull knives has him...

yeppee, i received them yesterday !

They are a bit smaller than what i was expected, have marvellous carbon blades with nice temper line.
Straight after i use them (to cut some cooked pork with mustard) the blade was marked (after around 2 sec of use!) but i was awaiting it, it's normal!:D

i use the small one to prepare fruits, it's nice to handle...
It could nearly be used as neck knife as it is so thin.
PH is doing plenty neck knives, that might explain my feeling...:D

I use the average one to eat, perfect size.

Pic was taken before use.. now blade are a bit darker !

 freddy1,
I just love that kitchen set! Congrats.
Vince,
 Bowie.
Pierre-Henri,
I really like your work. How long have you been at it?
I just ask as Freddy mentioned you were a young knifemaker.
I like Daniel Winkler's knives also and see similarities in your knives that I've had the pleasure of viewing.
I guess it's the rustic look/style.

Later,
Doug :)

In fact, i request it loooooong ago, but PH was buzy on other knives(naughty boy !) so it has taken some months.

Usually, Pierre work quite fast, he is young but quite experienced in the business.
I am bad for giving people an age but i woudl say he is around 30.:D

I use the knives this morning for breakfast... the more i use them, the more i enjoy them !

I like all of these! Very pleasing hamons...smooth lines!

30 is young? Im just a whipper snapper at 27....tough when most makers have been making knives longer than you've been alive, haha

I guess PH is younger than 30... 25 will be more exact, but it's sure that he have a lot of experience and make some fantastic blades... For the price and the quality, he's hard to beat ...:)
