While I was at ECCKS I had my Mike Obenauf Model #1 on me for Show & Tell with Jeremy Rivera, aka busterbones (Ed Fowler’s webmaster).

We started talking to my buddy Ken Collucci about his leather work. I’ve been talking to Ken about his sheath work since I’ve known him, (probably about 7 years) and the time was right to put him to work on one for me. I handed Ken my Obie and Jeremy ordered a sheath for a knife he had just bought. A couple of days latter I got an email with this photo of my completed sheath.

The pic that Ken sent me was so huge I could actually see the molecular structure of the leather.

The sheath arrived yesterday, it’s nicely done. I didn’t want anything fancy, just a good secure sheath. Great price and a fast turnaround, packaged really well and a zippered pouch to boot. I’m a Happy Camper.

Thanks Ken. What does the FDL mean on the bottom of the back of the sheath? Phil, doesn’t start with an “F”.

FBL = Fire Brand Leather :)

Thanks for the kind words and vote of confidence in my work. :D

KV...sheath looks great and the Obie is one of the nicest I have seen.

Perfect way to carry it.
