Today was a day like any other day. Then I went to our mailbox and saw we had was something in a bubble envelope. Hmm, it's from Dee and there's a suspicious lump inside.

When I opened it up, unwrapped the item, of course, it was a knife (shenanigans :eek:) I had admired Dee's Case step-bolstered razor Barlow a while back and sent him a PM to see if he had an idea where I could buy one. He gave me some suggestions and I started watching for one that I would love. Time passed; I never found one I liked; I imagined it was a quest that would end someday.

Here's what was in the box. I was shocked, shocked I say, at his generosity (and good taste).

When you asked if I mind you mentioning your gift on the porch..... I didn't know you were referring to a whole thread, Dean :eek:!! I was thinking a small excerpt among our friends in "What Traditional Knife are ya totin' today?" or something :confused:. You tricked me :p :)!!!

Glad you like it, buddy!! I can't explain it, but there's something magical about sharing the things you love with friends. Whether that be experiences, knowledge, or gifts. It gives me a sublime feeling of wealth knowing the happiness it brings. I guess that's the gift of giving :).

To everyone who's commented (or viewing this thread)..... THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!!! You guys/gals of the community inspire others to be all they can be. Always putting your best foot forward and welcoming anyone..... I mean ANYONE..... with open arms. It's hard as it is to find these qualities in the real world, but to find them all in one place (The Porch) is INCREDIBLE!!

We're truly one big, crazy, knife loving FAMILY!!! :D
