Yesterday I decided I needed to get away by myself. I chose to hike in an area close to home thinking I might see some game moving. On the normal trail in I came across this and decided to see where he was headed.

While following the bear tracks I came across these:

Both sets of tracks were heading the same general direction so I continued on finding an old fence row. There was what looked like an old blade off of a tractor leaned against the post.

Another 100 yds or so past the old fence row I found this:

To me it looked like an old grave. I stood still with an almost reverent feeling in the air as I pondered who or when. I think I'll go back in the spring and plant some flowers.
Obligitory knife porn is Siegle that I just received this week(thanks Bill) and a mora that was an early Christmas gift I bought myself.

On the way back to the truck I finally ran into the gang of turkey but they saw me before I could get any photos. All in all it was a great day!
