went for a short hike tonight after dinner with one of the kids, nowhere special, just the forest behind our place
after wandering for and hour, we found an old campsite, did a quick clean up of the refuse, and built a little fire

Nice to have some bush so close to home:thumbup:

I'd be in there every chance I had. Glad to see you had some time out:)

Thanks Hiwa
i live in a fairly wooded region, small towns seperated by farms and forests with thousands of lakes and rivers near by
i guess i just took it all for granted, getting back to it now though

cheers
mike

Nice stuff. You might be right on the grouse. I thought they had smaller clutches, but a quick scan shows the common number to be 9-10 eggs/nest. Size and colouration looks about right.

@ kgd- ive tried considering every creature in my region that lays eggs, and grouse is the only one that makes sense to me, maybe ill have to try some hunting nearby
where abouts are you? nearby?
@tknife- thanks, it is nice countryside here, cutlery is a CS pipehawk, and my homemade edc knife
