So you may have seen the thread where I was asking for someone to make me a top eject Rattlehawk sheath. David offered to do it for me, and we worked out a design. I want to emphasize that fact that he was just giving me what i was asking for. Anyway he finished my sheath, and sent it to me. As soon as I got it, i messaged him and let him know i got it. I mentioned that it was a bit hard to get the hawk out due to the straps on the top, and the spike hanging up. I never asked him to do anything about it. Without any prompting, he offered to trade it out at no cost for one of his normal sheaths. I wanted to give the one i ordered a chance since i felt bad about making him do all that work, and didn't think it was quite fair to swap it out.

Anyway after playing with it for a day, i decided that it was just not comfortable and wouldn't work so I decided to accept his offer. I emailed David and he replied letting me know that he had gone ahead and shipped one out to me the day before because he wanted to make sure I was happy.

This is a level of customer service that NO ONE does.... it's just incredible. On top of that, I got the new sheath today, and it's simply incredible. It's better than i hoped by a wide margin.

If you are in need of Kydex, David is GTG 100%

David is a great guy he was 1 of several sheath makers who after I was injured overseas offered to make me a sheath from some anonymous donors. He had one in stock and sent it right out I still and always. Will appreciate everyone who offered or had anything to do with this act of kindness. It goes to show not all in this community are run buy the almighty rollers. Thanks again David.

I, too, have had a great experience with Mr. Brown. He helped me nail down a design for my modded AD and kindly put up with all my questions and anxiety and whatnot, lol. Took the time to make sure everything was just so before he sent it out, and I was blown away when I received it. Looks great, rides perfectly, and the retention is spot on. Absolutely phenomenal job, and I, too, would recommend him right off the bat.

Oh boy. Dave Brown stories.

Garth

I have to correct you, Garth.
"A whole bunch of times, at BLADE shows....":)
Not only a GREAT sheath maker, not to mention innovator, David is a true friend and my brother.

Man...there was this Blade Show story I'd heard but couldn't believe was true.....oh wait, wrong topic.

Dave just sent me 2 VEX sheaths, slim tacos that couldn't be for conceal carry. The man not only knows how to expertly heat and bend the ole kydex ....but I've never seen anyone come up with the slick ideas for kydex sheaths that he has made. Dave is an kydex artist.

I have a kydex sheath from him and it is all alone waiting for the ASHBM to arrive. He was great to deal with, now about the blade show... Maybe I need to attend this year to see what's up....:)

Dave is a standup guy, and I love his designs!!!!!!!!! :D

Got more than a few, and this little piglet will be back for more sheaths from Mr. Brown soon! ;)

Dave is good people. This story does not surprise me as Dave backs his work 100%.

I have 4 or 5 BB kydex sheathes. Everyone is top notch. One was even a give away win! One disappeared with a TGLB that wandered off one night in Murfreesboro TN. One is on a TGLB-m, I carry it the most on the woods. Needless to say I'm a fan of his work. :)

Garth

....hum..... Garth, why'd ya stop that story????;)......

Another great fact about David is that he's here quite a bit. He is proving to be as much a knife enthusiast as the rest of us. Heck he IS one of us!.... Being able to mix pleasure with business..... Sweeeet!
I noticed that he is quick to give straight forward and honest advice. Gotta love that in a guy!

Wow you guys are awesome.
I really do not know what to say but thank you :)

You guys are really the best, helping my family live I really do appreciate it.

I do love these knives, it is so fun to beat them and use them but the best thing in the 14 years have been the people.

Hope to see you all in ATL and maybe there will be more UN-spoken stories :)

Dave, You de man!! OK I won't tell that story... If the folks in AZ only knew. You're the best, brother!!!!
