last sunday me and my GF visited one of the largest snowdrop-field in the Eu- It's Alcsút - here in Hungary, and I snapped a few pics, I think worth to share.
I managed to stalk a rabbit and a few roe, I took a few pic of the rabbit, the roe's were too far for my lens, - enough close for a gun, tho...
next time probably I'll make a rabbit stick...:p

Nice!

Two questions: (1) What's the elegant old building in one photo? (2) The bunny looks similar to the jackrabbits I see. When I was in Europe (Czech Republic and driving to Budapest) I saw some large European Hare. Really huge rabbits. Any of those in your area?

Thanks,

hi,

the place is an arboretum- botanical garden. It's quite old, and a bit uncared for. It's roots lead back to the 18th century. the building was a residence of an Habsburg prince, built in 1820-27.

As for the rabbits, yes there are some huuuge ones, for sure. there are two kinds living here, one is the bigger- the European Hare, and the other is the "rabbit"(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit).
I've seen some "monsters" of hare, the one of the photo was most probably a young one, that's why I could stalk it so easy...

Wow, that's quite a history! Hopefully someday a charitable foundation will adopt and restore the building.

Locals told me that some of the largest hare can weigh 15-20 kg. I don't know whether that's true but a few that I saw looked that large. If I shot one of those, I'd have rabbit stew for weeks!

Thanks for the photos and info.

Great shots of Spring of joys!
Those rabbit shots are amazing, as well as the flower shots.
Thanks for sharing!

Great pics. I can hardly wait for spring to get here in my area. Seeing the green grass and that flower just makes my day lol.

thanks for sharing,

Bryan

Thanks for those pictures, they're both encouraging and depressing. We've still got snow everywhere here. Hopefully within the next month we'll start to see things like that, although I think this will be a long, wet spring here.

I like the shot of the tree, it looks really cool. Thanks for sharing the pics
