A Shot in the Dark.

The blade looks full. With a couple of pictures from that distance, no telling. I have done a few one or two picture bids and been lucky. It will be nice to see the year. The price wasn't bad for box, sheath and knife. Good Luck!!

Thanks.

Since I don't go to casinos, I figure this little bit of gambling can't break me.

I'm guessing it's a mismatched group anyway but the knife could have dots.

:)

Amazing!!!

The Shot in the dark pays off!

Can you believe it?

It's a Three-Dot Finger Groove (a rare beast)........and a very early one, I'd guess.....meaning the black sheath is probably correct?

As a bonus, it's one of those with the dots set real low, at the bottom of the lettering.

And all papers included.

My luck (or intuition) never fails to amaze me.

I guess I must just be living right!

:)

ugh ... k-nock on wood der mr bg42... i sure hopes ya intuntion holds up a good while...
hummm... me thinks i might start gambling...
y0wser ! jest think i could win once in a while !

Don't try to kid us.

You called this as a Three-Dotter in your cryptic post just above and the only reason I got it is because I was lucky enough to see it two minutes after the Buy it Now showed up.

Udderwise.......you'd have it.

:D

Picture soon. Quick cleanup.

Here it is!

Now I have a family of FIVE 112 Finger Grooved Three-Dotters.

Never thought I'd get a group like that together!

You were really lucky on that one, BG! One fine looking knife, don't know how it looked at first but your clean-up made it look fine!!! Very nice collection of F/G 112's.

Yes, I remember a few years ago when somebody was wondering if a Three-Dot finger grooved 112 even existed.

My, we've come a long way from that.

:)

Yeah, I would have given it a one in ten chance, actually. :)

It looked pretty good at first. A little verdigris and other light stains. Took about ten minutes. At least a couple of these will go to Buck for the spa treatment at some point in the future.

Bad news, the box is not a finger groove box. Sheath is in good shape, but would be a more likely match if brown. Otherwise, all good.

:)

Congratulations! That's a very nice catch and a great looking set of 112's you got there BG42.

Thanks. I guess I did get a deal.

I just checked completed auctions and I see that a well-described finger-grooved 112 Three-Dotter went for $74 a couple days ago.

Didn't look to be in the best condition, either.

I wouldn't have a single one if I'd had to pay that kind of money. I just don't have it.

:)

Nice but useless to me,My hands are too big for the 112,i'd be wrapping fingers around the edge all too often, pretty to look at though!

These will just sit in a display case anyway......they've cut their last fingers unless I get careless when rearranging them sometime.

:D
