Hey, Andy. I'm on a computer at a local arcade/bar so I couldn't e-mail you personally. I just wanted to check in with the boards after being absent for so long and say hi. I'm in Jump Week of Airborne School right now (just coming from ITB) and everything is goin' great. I can't wait to get home for a week or two after this so I can see my toys again. Great stuff. I hope I can check in again soon! Thanks for the great hawks and service in the past.

Rob

Glad to hear that you are here and doing well. How do you like the weather? Good luck in Airborne School. Jumpers Hit It! Check canopy.....gain canopy control.. Sorry minor flash back. Good luck and be safe.

Thanks God they don't let me go through that school...
Like some other Marines, I never understood the idea of jumping out of an aircraft...rather hit the beach at a flat run! ;)

Good luck in school Rob...hope the Marines (if there are any going through with you?!?) aren't too bad...

The weather here is crazy but I've been here since March so I've gotten a bit use to it. There is one Marine in my class and he's doing great. Half my class are Cadets... half of them quit and the other half will never jump again after this. Well worth the American dollar. Oh well.

Jump School is ok. I liked basic a lot though. After this I'm gonna check out the ATC site to see the latest. Sounds like you guys have been doing well! Hope I have the chance to get another ATC Hawk or a Justin knife soon. The pictures of the SF soldiers with ATC gear is kick @$$. Keep it up.

You at the subway place?:D:D

I went to Airborne school during May/June...must have spent about $300 in i-net access at that ripoff place. Go to the library, if you can...

From one 5 jump chump to another (soon to be);), be safe and have a good one.

I was indeed at the Subway next to Airborne school when I posted the thread. Now I'm at the Fort Lewis Library. We'll see about the 5 jump chump part ;) but thanks for replying.

With any luck I will get the first leave of my military career soon and get to see my family and get a car! Not to mention a new hawk.

I like the new ATC site design. It looks like ATC just keeps getting higher up there. How will you be able to handle all the orders that are sure to come in now, Andy?

Glad things are goin' well.

Yeah well until you get to an airborne unit, you are what you are;)

I unfortunately was sent to Fort Myer, VA (DC area)...eventually I'll get to Bragg and see some action.

What MOS are you? 95B/MP right here.

I'd love to get a 'hawk...living in barracks presents it's difficulties though.

Congrats on making it so far, hopefully you won't be a cherry too much longer

11B all the way warthog. Who said I wasn't in an Airborne unit? ;)

Thanks, Spark. The Army seems to be the life for me so far.

Howdy, Hawk,

Airborne school in August! Great weather, eh? I did it in '81. I grew up in Houston, and had never been so hot in my life. It was all a big head game, so I used to mess with the Black Hats by going to the gig pit for fun.

11 Bush is a great way to be! Enjoy....

Cheers and beers,
Peyton

BFH...

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you personally.

I am TOTALLY pleased that things are going well for you and that you are checking in here...please continue to do so and keep us informed of your progress.

You are and will always be a friend to ATC.

Talk soon,

There are 2 airborne units/detachments in Fort Lewis. The scenery here is painted with green and tan berets :p
