As the old saying goes: "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear." Every once in awhile I'll take an old file and give it a second life with a certain amount of refinement, making it a Silk Purse so to speak, and in this case, a handy semi-skinner. All comments appreciated.

Nice looking knife, I see you kept it on the hard side, did you anneal it first then grind it or did you grind it while it was still hard?

Thanks Scott - I annealed it prior to grinding and edge quenched.
 
That looks like a dandy little hunting knife Tim and a good use for those worn out files, heck yea going green so to speak. :cool:
