I bought one these on the exchange a while back and received it with a bit of surface rust. I talked to a good friend and knife maker (guess who) about it and he told me to send it to him for some pimping. In the box it went. I had a hard time capturing the work with my crappy pictures but you'll get the idea.
Both blades were thinned out...swedged and etched.

This picture has 3 of my 4 Case Chestnut Bone / CV sway backs. I can't find the 4th....I might have given it away but can't remember.

At the rate you are losing track of them, it's good to have a few backups, J.:D
I am lucky to have one "pimped" by, I believe, the same hand!

I'd say you were pretty close. I think yours is cold blued? If so, mine was done by one of the other fine gents at WW :p

Gotta get me one of those! The wharncliff swedge reminds me of the new Insingo from Chris Reeve. A very nice add to the standard blade profile.

Nice trio! That swedge grind really does wonders for that wharnny.

I have "OSD" too. (obsessive slippie disorder), lol.

Looks great, I think the CV Swayback will be my next purchase

Did I miss it, who did the aftermarket work if you don't mind me asking?

Great pimping on a terrific knife.
