I have had this BK14 sitting around for a few years now.

It was my first Becker and I have been wanting to do something with it. It was sitting around because I over sharpened it and made the blade much smaller.Over about 6 months, summer 2012 I think it was, I made the bad decision to keep sharpening my BK14 EDC on a belt sander a few times a month. I didn't realize how small I had gradually made the blade until I won a new BK14 from Moose and saw them together.

I learned my lesson and have hand sharpened everything since.

But I have been thinking about doing something with this 14.

So I ended up with this smaller version. It feels candiru sized to me but maybe a little bigger. Just a little bigger than a BK13 but extra beefy. I almost tried a pointy clip point but decided to stay with what looks to me like a mini BK14.

I was working on re shaping the blade the day I dumped my dirt bike and broke my hand pretty bad. So after 8 weeks in a splint finishing this project has been a bit of physical therapy for me.

I finished shortening the handle and fitting a set of orange grips to it I had laying around. I made my first sheath since my accident and it turned out to to be an interesting little blade. It will spend most its time as a neck knife but the sheath can also be worn on a belt.

Thanks everyone! I could see the smaller knife in the bigger one and it was neat to bring it out and make something fun.

The knife being asked about that looks like a mini Big Becker is a knife idea I came up with and Beckerhead crimsonfalcon07 did an amazing job bringing to life. I wanted something that was legal sized to conceal here in Colorado ( Blade under 3.5 inches) but looked like a big Becker. It is quite the pocket knife. :)

Does it fit in the piggyback sheath?

The blade does fit. The handle with the grips in it are pretty big compared to a naked 13 though. Pretty bulky. Would probably work better without the grips. In the Machax sheath it worked fine even with the grips. In the 7 sheath I couldn't access the snap on the handle with the 14 in it.

Grabbed a quick pic for you.
