US made scout patterns. Such great versatility for so little cost.

Nice collection - for many of us our first knife was a Scout - great nostalgia too. OH

Very nice collection sir. My second knife was an Imperial Kamp King, but an Ireland made. I always thought about collecting camper/scout patterns, but once I built up five or six I end up selling them to fund my knife making stuff. Lol. Fun patterns though.

The scout knife is a great pattern. It was my first real knife from my dad, and it influenced my taste in knives the rest of my life. The army 'demo' knife I carried for years, the SAK's I've had, all came from the scout knife dad gave me. I still carry my old Wenger SI in edc rotation or when I think something may need to be "tinkered" with. Of all the SAK's I traded off or gave away, the SI and Vic pioneer was always the ones that stayed. The scout knife is a versatile piece of gear.

Good collection leghog!

The SAK 108mm and 93mm are favorites also since they too are essentially scouts.

I wonder how many folks here have a similar experience to Carl's. I've considered starting a thread about the influence of your first knife. I can link many of the features I desire in a knife back to my first knife (a Colonial Forest-Master).

Great collection Leghog, some lovely US Scout knives  And you have a Mauser, I carried that knife for 10 years.

Nice. I guess I walked into that one. Haha. Though, seriously, I don't know what that is. I have only heard of it in connection with German made knives.

:D

It's the knife above with 'Mauser' on the covers Brian (bit hard to make out the lettering - it's second from the top), like a German Army Knife with an extra clip blade
