A small knife I made for myself

Hello everyone,
I wanted to show you a little knife I just finished. I should probably introduce myself first. This is my first post on BladeForums. I'm Joel. I'm 18 and I live in Argentina. I have been looking at this site for about a year now. I have found lots of very useful information on here. I have made a few knives just for fun. This one is my eighth I think. I've given some knives to friends as gifts. This knife is for me. The steel is from an old disk plow I bought at a scrap yard. The guard is the same steel as the blade. The spacers are brass and leather. The pin is brass. The handle is wood. I don't know what the wood is. I heat treated the blade myself. I followed Storm Crow's directions on heat treating 5160 (thank you Storm Crow). All criticism is appreciated and welcomed so I can learn.
Hope you enjoy
Joel.

PS: this link will take you to my photobucket site where you can see the pictures of the knife. If there is a better way to do this, I would appreciate feed back.

Welcome to BladeForums!

To post directly from your computer, you will need a paid membership.

Without a paid membership, you will need to use a free photo hosting site (Photobucket, Imgur, etc) to post pictures. I still use Photobucket most of the time as it's very simple to use.

Can't wait to see your work!

Yeah, the links only work for you because they're pointing to your hard drive. If we had direct access to your drive, you'd have bigger problems.

Thanks for your response. I figured the link's wouldn't work. I edited to add the photobucket link. Does it work now?

Post the photobucket link and it should work directly. It's right there on the page next to the photo.

Well done! I just finished a knife for myself too. It can be fun treating yourself to something nice.

Here is another picture of my knife. I've also added more photos of the knife on photobucket. I'm working on the sheath right now. Will post pictures when I'm done with that.
