i don't know whether this qualifies as handmade knife, as the blade was not made by myself and it is just a little attempt at producing something usable... if not please move it to the appropriate section...
got a small damasteel blade from Peter Abel from the Lindenschmiede and some Raffir handle slabs... i decided to go with the red one (actually my wife did, but i agreed) as it matches the damasteel better.
it was actually the first time using this resin based material.

as i don't have a drill press i had to cut 2 small pieces of the raffir for the sides and then use a dremel to make room for the tang. afterwards just some hand filing:

and then sandpaper, finally some boiled linseed oil (i know, it will do nothing on the resin, but i hope a bit will get into the corn fibres). it is not a high gloss finish because i didn't want that. still contemplating about applying some kind of coat though.
