Just wondering if anybody knows if there are any plans for a smaller La Griffe. I have tryed wearing a Standard for awhile, but it was just a bit too big for me........It kept digging in, but this may only be a girly prob.......LOL :D I have thought about grinding back past the last hole, but i would prefer an orginal.

Emerson Girl,
What is it specifically that is too big ?
The HOLE, the BLADE.
My guess is the hole. If so, get a helpful, intelligent person
to "mike" the hole and get a GROMMET to go in the hole w/ a smaller hole in it. This smaller hole needs to be comfortable enough for you finger and suffiently tight enough to allow a good seat against the
hole. I would start my quest at a Hardware store or Plumbing Supply Store.

Plan B, dip your La Griffe in Rubber Type of coating used commonly to insulate tools. It can be applied thicker in coats if necessary. That would fill in the extra size on the hole to compensate your finger size. It typically comes in a can and there are a number of brands availible in the States. It cures in a day or two and can come in some colors (i.e. red, black etc.)

Plan C, wrap around the hole except the blade portion w/ Paracord or other something more suitible for your desires. Seal it by melting it w/ flame from match tip.

BTW, ALL PUNS intended. :-{)

Hope that helps......

It is just the whole knife, it needs to be shrunk...the holes aint a problem if the whole thing was smaller.....think of a mini La Griffe :)

Hi and welcome :)

Maybe this: http://www.bladeart.com/artists/fred_perrin/fred_perrin_lagriffe.htm

Almost at the bottom, the keychain griffe, more expensive but the charm of a forged handmade knife by the maker himself.
I'm pretty sure that Mr. Perrin would work with you to make what you want.

Cutting the bottom part of a regular would work too i suppose, but you didn't want to do just that though.
If you don't positively have to carry it necker style i'd suggest a belt sheath, i sometimes carry mine in a necksheath i converted, very smooth and easily concealed.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but if i wanted one made, i would do it myself :) but it wouldnt be an EMERSON!!!!!!!!
