will there ever be one? id love a 3"or 4" version, and i cant shell out $500+ for the custom/

I hear you, but think that the Maxx would look and feel really stubby if any smaller than 5.5" I have seen Darrel's custom Maxx folders that are 4" or so and they just don't look right, IMO.

After handling the Gibbs 7", the regular Maxx now seems quite reasonably sized :D

yes, there will be a smaller Maxx from Camillus. My understanding is that it will be of similar construction to the Heat. It will be a 4" blade and will have an assisted opener.

ive seen the darrel ralph 3" maxx and i almost sold a guitar to buy one. id love to see a production 3"er but 4" is good too. i hope they make it just like the 5.5 with ti handles, so then it would look nice next to one of my balisongs:)

I also sincerely hope they do a 4" version with Ti slabs just like it's larger cousin.

It would seem to me that a CUDA MAXX with a blade of less than 5" would be an oxymoron. How could it be a MAXX with a lesser blade?

I have the Cuda Maxx and I've fondled more than one of the custom 4" versions. In my opinion, the 4" version feels a LOT more balanced than the 5.5" version. I keep hoping for a production version of it or the AXD with similar specs.

I think there are several new designs in the works at this time.

Hang in there.

The 4 inch will be sweet.

It's a little bit quiet here since Will left :(

There isn't much information shared between the Company and us forumites anymore which I find a sad thing.

Allthough I must say that I'm a little bit spoiled because I hang around the Spydie Forum most of the time and it's sweet that Sal in spite of his busy schedule is that often around.

So are there any more news of 2005 models?

There are many new projects in the works at this time.
The problem is that I am not qualified to talk about them. I do not know the details etc.
I can talk about my designs that we are close enough to announce.
I miss Will also. He now has his own Will Fennell Shooting school.

Thanks for dropping in DR! I'll keep hanging in there. Looking forward to seeing what comes up on the radar in the hopefully near future.
