I have a SOG flash II First Edition/427, non serrated, Titanium
The knife appears to be new and unused that I have had for about 8-10 years.
It seems to be auto open. Is this a possibility it came from the factory like this?
I have asked around with no clear answers, one person said if this is the case and untouched it would be rare and been made in Germany. Any help would be appreciated.

If you use the thumb stud to deploy it's spring assisted and not an auto.

ETA: The knife you posted a pic of in the SOG forum is spring assisted.

The Blade is either Open or Closed and always under tension, It seems to have no neutral or mid-point. It appears to have either Assist or Auto. It seems to be untouched (not modified) and in new condition.
I had it put away with a couple other knives that I have collected and they were uncovered during a move.

it,s spring assisted, I have a few sog flash knifes just not a first edtion I would differently hang on to it,

just wanted to add the steel is AUS-8'
only thing I thought all first edtion,s were rainbow aluminum handles,
but looking at ebay found a few with the black zertyl (plastic) handles. either way they are good knifes for the price.

If it opens with the sliding button, it is probably one of my conversions.

Hey bill, I love your knifes I have several leverttos, I didn't know you did sog conversions, I,ll have to keep an eye open for one.

Just saw in GKD that it may be a Bill Deshivs conversion, if so your lucky he makes some fine ones.

I may have worded it wrong, I will try again...

It can be either Locked open or completely closed, it will not rest in any other position. It has both Assisted and Automatic. The Automatic opens quite fast with no additional help.
The Knife appears to be in new condition and not modified, No marks on the screws, Blade, or any of the external finish.

I hope this will clear up what I was trying to relay.

Thanks for the reply Bill, I did visit your site and had a look around. Very nice work. I picked up this piece at a show in Detroit MI for $25.00 from a young boy watching the table.
If you did do the conversion it was very well done with no signs of entry. I also posted in the SOG area of the forums where you can take a look at the pics. Maybe you will recognize it.

You can't tell the conversions from the factopry assisted-open knives. As a matter of fact, the assisted-open feature still works on them.

Very cool Bill! I still think for $25 he has a factory one....lol...I figured if he watches the video, and see how the normal ones work, he will know...

@ tom19176, plz look up and reread... (( It has both Assisted and Automatic. The Automatic opens quite fast with no additional help)) I did watch the video you posted. It was not the same knife and was obviously a Assised-open, no dout about that. The price I payed for the knife has no meaning to who makes the knife or how it operates, It just means I may have got a good deal.
With no other posts comming in, I do believe this knife has conversions done and the best job i seen for some time. I think my question has been answer.

Thank you everyone for your replies.
