A SOG knife's configurations....

Have any of you ever wondered like me of a knife's weight; what percentage of weight is in the handle, locking system and blade?

not really . i mean, its not one of the factors i consider when buying a knife , and i`m a knife addict in every sense of the word .

Yeah. What I meant was that I was wondering where the majority of a knife's weight go to...

If it's a chopper, you want the weight up front, Bowies, I like the balance in front of the guard/tang but that's just me. Tacticals,hunters,fighters somebody else will let you know as it's probably a matter of personal choice more so than anything.Hope that helps. Shoot,just realized this was about SOG's,love 'em but don't know what there choppers are like or if they make choppers.I'm sure I'll find out though.

in fixed blades it would be mostly in the tang and blade depending on handle material , in folders it would be in the liners, locking mechanisms etc. does that help?

Thanks. Just wanted to know more. Want to see if it is possible to throw foldable SOG knives. That's why I wanted to know where the weight was.
