A somewhat amazing story and point

As a few people know I collect art. Well I also collect knives as I see knives as art and I just like knives. Well I went to a board walk art show today. It was really awesome it normally is, although I have not gone to the art show in a good while. Well I am walking and admiring all the great booths and what is their... a custom knife maker with a table that looks like it could be at blade. The table had mainly all fixed blades. Most had really well made damascus, really great looking knives. As one would imagine very artistic. Well we had one folder. It was not a damascus blade but it was just a really nice knife. While my first priority is balisongs, this folder was great, he normally sells out of his folders really fast. Also people kept picking up the folder and asking questions so I knew it was not going to last long. I did end up buying the folder. I will show pictures later. I will also right a review later. It may not be everyone's style. It has a great, dark green ivory esqu stag. Anyway the custom maker is known as, 2 jakes custom knives.

This proves knives are art. So have any of you ever four knives or more specifically a solely knife maker in a unlikely place.

I see some nice knives also at the larger gunshows, usually fixed blades. But they are nice work, and usually Damascus.

I like to tell people my Kukri's are works of art, too. They always agree with me...

Obviously it's because I'm right, and has nothing to do with the fact that I'm holding a monster knife.

I have always said that custom knives ARE useable art.

I say even some production knives can be art, although when they were made chances are that was not their intention unlike a custom.

I think Spyderco Knives are art.
Some of their designs are just so beautifully crafted.

I think the Smallfly, Spyderfly, and Szabofly are true art.

The Szabo folder that's coming out soon is there too, I think. Gorgeous gold carbon fiber handles and that blade shape...wow. Can't wait till I get my hands on it.

Well the szabofly was for sure art, and the spyderco spyderfly was art, I find most balisongs to be artistic by nature anyway. Although like the folder at the show their are plenty of artistic knives.
