A somewhat silly question…

Hey everyone, so I’m close to finishing a small tanto and ive bolted the scales on with sleeve screws to start shaping them. It dawned on me that i have 6.2mm pins handy and the holes on the tang are 6mm. Lets just say I only have access to a rotary tool, a drill with 6mm metal cutting bit, a very basic belt grinder which i modded to work with me and some files.

My question is:
1. Is there a way to fit those 6.2mm pins on my knife without any extra tools and accessories?

I would rather not mod those sleeve screws and just epoxy the scales with pins 😬

Thank you

Pin to drill chuck, and carefully file when rotating. I have done sometimes that, not to knife, but it worked for me.

Insert the pin into a hand drill and hold it against the running belt grinder. Measure often with a caliper or check against your 6mm hole. Hold the pin as straight as possible to the belt.
