Hi Guys,

Just finished this up and thought I'd share. I have been chasing Mike Norris to make me some custom damascus for a while and he made me a couple bars, this one is a custom san mai billet that is stunning. This is a bolster lock with snakeskin finish, polished cobalt M3 and a bunch of custom milling nonsense, and a floating san mai backspacer. I did a polished core instead of black on the blade.

And sorry I haven't been around much, I'm trying to focus on the 1200+ people on my wait list lol. I don't think its going to happen though as I make one knife every 2-3 weeks lol.

Thanks guys,

Yeah Matt my phot skills are a 3/10 maybe lower.... for the life of me I can't ever take good pics.

That is super nice, Mike. I like the bolster lock design. How thick are the "liners' under the scales?

Me, too. Funny thing is, I LOVE photography, have a lot invested in equipment, and STILL think my knife photos suck. Knives and shiny stuff are really hard to capture properly. I've been sending my stuff to Coop lately, as a result. Want to do my work justice.

Sorry for the distraction, anyway. Certainly don't mean to take anything from your knife, although honestly I don't see how I possibly could. Watched this one evolve on IG, and it was great from the get-go. Clean work, bud!!!

I cut my bolster locks down from .190-.182" to .070-.060" depending on the action I want and the contouring I do. As most makers will tell you cutting bolster locks warps ti like crazy, so i spend months developing a process to eliminate the warpage. Most makers won't do a bolster lock because of the warp, and especially not go down to .060".
