This one I made for Wilderness Guide Stani Groeneweg. He works for the Discovery Channel as location scout and safety consultant on the Bear Grylls shows.

Visit his homepage here: http://www.discoversurvival.com/

His knife is a modified Ontario TAK-1 in D2, the pouch holds a Fällkniven DC-4 stone. The sheath is kydexlined leather offcourse :D

Both sheath and pouch have large drainage holes. The handle can be gripped fullhanded, and there's a very comfortable shaped thumbpush. The kydex is 0.08", and offers plenty retention, so no strap is needed..

I hope you like it..

Very nice sheath and cool info about your customer. I bet he gets the best of things - all the wilderness and scouting without the drama that Bear has to endure.

He's a great guy to talk with.

He has been using this knife for years in his own made leather sheath. It has seen a lot of jungle, and in spite of being made in D2, Rust never has been a problem, neither the fact that the sheath was leather.

While he was over in my shop I showed him some Jordans I had for sheathing. He fell in love immediately, and he now has a custom knife from Andrew on order..

I'll be doing that sheath too, and will post pics of sheath and knife.. Might take a couple of months..

Another awesome sheath Martin,

…but a picture of the knife next to the sheath is a must. :grumpy:

Bear has a safety consultant. Ill be darn.

:)

Not so much for Bear himself, but more for the crew involved..
Stani ropes them up when on a tiny ledge.. that kinda stuff..

Main game is getting Bear to do all the crazy shit they come up with..
Producer, Director, Editor.. etc.. When they find a piece of crap they gonna want bear to eat it, or rub it in his face or something.. very often Bear agrees.

That is an amazing looking sheath. Never had really given much thought to who has to go out and scout all of these areas and takes care of the crew.
