Damn you, Sal! 🥸

But for Spyderco, I probably never would have become a knife "collector." 😳

With all of the variations of all of the knives that you've made starting with the Worker C01 over 40 years ago, it makes collecting your knives all but irresistible to me. 🤷‍♂️

To date, I own over 200 Spyderco knives (which is a small # in comparison with other devoted Spyderco collectors) but the number for me is still growing & there is no hope for me to recover because I'm still looking for the next great vintage Spyderco "find."

LOL!!! ;)

Hi Sgt,

I' sorry, and also, thanx much for the support.

I'm probably not very smart, is why I try to hire smart people. But I am creative and have probably created far more models that we really needed. One of my marketing managers, called me crazy for that reason. Probably some truth to that.

There are many models that I, or Eric, have refined over the years, and thee are also many models that have come and gone.

My wife, Gail, says I try to do too much. Probably some truth to that as well. I currently have a few new models in-the-works and a few variations and "evolutions" as well.

I’m up to 62 Spydercos. My list of Spydercos I need is higher than that! It never ends!!!

I need to pick up a third SpyderPak for my Police Model collection.

Just for your Police models? That's a serious Police collection!!! 😲

I've got 11 small SpyderPacs for the 172 Spyderco folders in my collection.

The 33 FB Spydercos in my collection are mostly stored in boxes. The only exception are 5 Mules that I put Halpern scales on that are stored in Benchmade BragBag sleeves with some other small fixed blades in my safe.

Well, the Earthling is a pass for me but, if you want one, Country Knives says it has 2 in PE & SE for $450 each.

I'd post the link to them but that's against BF's rules but it's easy enough to do a Google search for them with the info that I've already provided

That's tempting, they usually go for a grand or more. I'm familiar with Country Knives, but I've never checked for one there. Thanks for the tip.

I’m too lazy to count, but I’m not close to 200 Spydercos yet.

Guess I gotta get busy!

I take a different approach the "collecting." If there's a knife that appeals to me, I'll buy it, use it, if it isn't better than my Police 4 LW or Military 2 salt, then it gets sold off. And it's getting hard to find knives better than those 2, in any brand for that matter. So I only have 3 Spydercos at the moment, I have an original Pacific salt on the chopping block but I may just hold on to it because it's a pretty good knife too. My wife has a black/pink delica and a teal ladybug, daughter has a purple ladybug (they really are amazing knives for how small they are), and my son has a Native 5 lw in Spy27.
