It's a never ending search, all I can find in good dimensions is D2, but I'm searching something stainless, something can be mirror finished (without Orange peel). I came across to that steel, it is I guess PM. Wish me luck I need thin and wide stock but most of the time all they have is thick round stocks. But I'm worried if it is stainless enough (like 440 B or C) ?
Here is the tech sheet: http://www.buau.com.au/english/files/K190DE.pdf. Any opinions? I'm afraid it isn't tough to make a big blade, people around interested in kitchen knives, so no problem....

That will be most similar to our S30V though with higher carbon content. Corrosion resistance like D2 perhaps, very wear resistant !! As a PM steel it will take a polish but if you look at postings about mirror polish on S30V it's something most makers try to avoid ! I think there was a recent posting about polishing S30V.

Galadduin,

D-2 has 12% chromium while steel is considered stainless at 13%. The 400 series is much more stain resistant than D-2. This stuff sound like a pretty intense material. Do you have any access to 154CM or ATS 34?? These might be easier to find at a knifemakers outlet. They may be able to ship to Turkey. By the looks of the K190 they use it for coining dies so the finish needs to be pretty fine. You may not have a perfect mirror but I think it would be fine. The problem with a mirror polish is that it scratches really easily. Once it does then it does not look good. I would recommend a 800 grit hand rubbed finish. Just my opinion if you want the mirror then by all means go for it. If you do decide to mirror polish and try this steel then I recommend staying away from the buffer and do all the finishing by hand. Take it up to as fine a grit paper you can find. 1 micron is very fine like 8000g. Then you could go to a really fine diamond polish, I have 100,000 grit. It is not too expensive and a little goes a long way. This way you will not get the smearing effect that a buffer gives you and will have a clean a surface as possible.

Good Luck

Another thing to look for might be Udeholm AEB-L or Sandvik 13C26. They're the same steel, made in two different places in Europe. The Sandvik 19C?? might also be of interest to you.
