I've just received a Buck Strider 880 which I bought in Ebay. But the knife seems different from what I know. Its closed length is 4 1/16'' and blade 2 7/8. One side of the blade is marked "STRIDER" and "BUCK"; The other side "BOS" next line "BG-42" next line "U.S.A.". I thought it was a Buck Strider Mini, but I learned that the Buck Strider Mini made from BG-42 steel are "1st Product Run", but mine has no such mark. Could anyone tell me the actual name of this knife? Thanks.

I have a Buck/Strider Mini and it is the model 881 that is now discontinued. The Buck/Strider 880 is the bigger model. It sounds like you got one that is somewhat special for sure. Does it have a black pocket clip?

The clip has the same color as the blade. I think the only difference of this knife from common 881 is the mark "BG-42" instead of "ATS-34".
