Does anyone know of any books that might teach a person how to work with Micarta or G-10. I'm not going to make knives, but would like to learn how to work Micarta to make handgun stocks. I've seen Micarta stocks for Hipowers that were great, but nobody makes them (in Micarta) for other handguns, besides, I think it would be a pretty fun hobby. Desides, I have a Benchmade CQC7 and Emerson Raven that I would like to someday experiment on (hope this Emerson reference is enough to keep me in this forum!?). Maybe all the great manufacturers started out this way, Heck, who knows. Thanks if you can help.

I think you might do better with this question if you posted in the ShopTalk/Custom Makers forum. Many big name knifemakers there who have been working with micarta for years. I'm sure they can give you the info you need. Hope this helps.
