An old saying: Only stupid question is one not to be asked.
Why stupid persons newer ask stupid questions? That is the way they stay stupid. If you ask stupid questions you a least can eventually be a master.
The following questions and anwers are my own- unfortunately not from some wise book:
What is common with a master and a good student? They both ask the same amount of stupid questions.
What is difference between a good student and a master? The master is at a level he can ask his stupid questions only from himself.
Can I do this that way? Then he tries. Then he finds- no I can't. So he did make a stupid question!
Why should you be honored to answer to stupid questions?
You can contribute to educate a master. A person who asks stupid questions is brave enough to prfefer learning not what other people think about him.
(This is from my own experience as a teacher (coputer science), but all learnig is very similar. I am a good blade smith student now, I hope.)
For example I can ask: The tip of a knife is often a problem to user. Why there is not any tip test in ABS tests?
The reliable knife is the main goal. The user do not care if the knife bent very strongly bends only 20 degrees if it do not crack. Why 90 degrees bending test?
Am I "a difficult, stupid person" and not honoring the tradition asking like this?
Well, I try engourage ask and answer
