Maybe it cannot be called "maxx" anymore, but I like the shape of maxx and want a smaller maxx to edc. Other than the custom ddr models, is there such a production model out there or planned in the near future?

I don't have the answer to your question. But, I'd advise you to take a close look at the Dominator. Yes, it's a completely different design -- but, it is also a Darrell Ralph design, and does feature the same strong titanium frame lock as the Cuda Maxx. It's light, tough, and the blade is under 4". Just a thought. :)

Nope, if it's under 5.5", then it cannot be a MAXX. ;)

At this time, there is no plan for a smaller Maxx design. Darrel has been talking to them about a mini-maxx(4") or a micro-maxx(3"). You never can tell what tomorrow will bring. I didn't think they would do a production Gibbs, yet here we are with a limited run.

I am glad to know that Darrel does have such a plan, which means there's a none-zero possibility.

Can't say exactly what I know right now, but I can say things are looking positive.

I'd be all over a 4" Maxx, modified spearpoint especially. Of course, everyone here knows this as many times as I've begged for Camillus to make one in the past. :D

:D That's good to hear!....Though, now I'm in the dark and excited and not just frustrated. ;)

I know the feeling I have a custom Madd Maxx II with a 4" spearpoint blade, Robo Assist, and carbon fiber inlays, and it is sweet but afraid to do anything but light cutting with it so as to not scratch, etc. it.
Now if Camillus would come out with one that did not cost $675(like this one did) I would be all over it
It is just the perfect size, and fits my hand perfectly, and is amazing how he fits a 3.9" blade in such a small perfect handsize handle.
I like my Aftermath(5.5") but sometimes is just too big for somethings, and the Madd Maxx II 4" is perfect.
We can only hope :)

Larry
