A suggestion on Rep Points.

I was raised such that when you have an opinion about someone, you make it known, and you put your name on it. I don't do instructor reviews in college anonymously, good or bad- I always sign my name.

I saw earlier a thread where someone was asking how to tell who leaves points. Would it be practicable to have the approval/disapproval electronically signed? For example, all of my posts have my name at the top, since I was signed in when I wrote them. How hard would it be to have the name of the person leaving rep points attached to the points?

It's probably a good suggestion but I suspect that it is not possible for the mods or even admins to change the way it works. It's probably hard coded in the design and you would need to speak to those who wrote the forum software.

Please read the sticky thread on reputation points.

The last thing we want is people trading points, whether good or bad. You're supposed to be expressing your honest opinion of the post you're rating, not retaliating for the author's opinion of one of your posts.

If you'd really like to know who leaves you bad or good rep points, pony up for a Platinum membership.

Membership has its priveledges, folks. ;)
