While I was at the Blade Show West, I bought a couple of slipjoints from a Louisiana maker by the name of Howard Faucheaux. Being a Sunfish collector, the one he had on his table caught my eye. While handling the piece I noticed that when you have the main blade open the smaller blade recesses into the frame when you grip the handle and then spings back into place when you relax your grip. Unlike the the standard model, when using the main blade the smaller blade leaves a crease in the palm of your hand. Pretty cool!! Blades are of D-2.

Greg, what a fantastic knife with an awesome twist.

The credit is all Howards fellas. When I first handled the knife I thought that the small blade was a little loose. Then, after a moment of feeling absolutely stupid, I realized that it was intentionally done that way. There is no sideways blade play. Only up and down.
