Meant to post this sooner but between the holiday travel and a ball tournament I hadn't had a chance...

My wife and I have been married for a few years now and she always struggles at Christmas. I'll admit I'm generally hard to buy for and I'm not much on making a list. The knives that I generally have liked in the past are more than I would like for her to spend on me as well. This year though she surprised me. I had gotten a Pacific Salt and was telling her that I loved carrying a Spydie Edge along with my plain edge but I wanted something smaller to EDC than the Salt. On Christmas morning she gave me the Native 5 LW. I've been carrying it everyday since and I'm really finding this knife perfect for utility tasks.

One cool thing about Spyderco is that they make knives for everyone; from their Value line to their top tier stuff and everything in between. Thanks to Sal, Eric, and family/company for what you do.

Everytime I use this one; I smile. :)

I enjoy buying new knives for myself very much. However, the ones given to me by family (especially the wife) are definitely more special to me. Congrats. I think you are supposed to get her one now though.....:D

That's awesome! Most people I've conversed with about knives either don't care, or only know of cheap gas station or department store type knives (I bunch kershaw in that category too, sorry Kershaw lovers). So cool when your significant other is interested in the same hobby as you, or at least pays attention to your hobbies enough to know what you like, which is what I feel happened in this case!

What a thoughtful gift. Your wife is attentive and caring. Mutual blessings, I'm sure. Cherish!

(She didn't sell her hair to Bob Kretschmer to buy your gift did she? Oh, Henry. ;)

Great gift. You are not hard to buy for. Just make it a Spyderco. Easy.

For me, books and blades are always winners.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

This little knife comes in handy all the time. I was cooking in the kitchen just now and needed to open a package. She was putting up dishes and saw and smiled because I was using it. :)

She's a keeper.

Hi Bluemetalchurch,

Thanx much for the kind words. Sounds like she's a keeper. The knife's nice too. ;) Enjoy.

That's great! My wife always gives me a Spyderco for Christmas, it's become one of our traditions :D
