I was wondering if anybody had any folders made by A.T.. He lives near me and I am looking for a custom folder I could see in the making stages.

I don't own an A.T. Barr, I'm sorry to say, but I was just at his site today. Very nice work, what are you thinking of getting? I think it's great to work with someone that's near you. You get to follow the progress and it will never get lost in the mail.

I've been looking at his work for years! His waiting list has been closed for a long time, but I asked him to inform me when it opens. <a href="http://www.arizonacustomknives.com">Arizona custom knives</a> has one of his folders for sale.

I don't have one of his folders, however, I have a camp knife made by him and the workmanship is as good as it gets!
 
On his site he has medium sized folders. I want an plain micarta handle with a near tanto blade that is a little wide. almost like a benchmade stryker but a little rounder. I want a titanium clip and liners. It is going to be my first custom so I want it to give me that satisfied feeling you get when all your expectations are met and surpassed. I think he can do it from what I have seen already. And waiting for his list is easy , After he starts on it Thats when I will be getting antsy.
 
About 2 years ago I had the great fortune to meet Mr. Barr at a knife store hear in Louisville and buy one of his knives. He is a very nice guy and his work is absolutely top notch, better than alot of better known makers.
 
As soon as he starts taking orders He will get one from me.Great knives.
