I think it was simply the lock i didnt like and couldnt get used to.
Thats really about it. I liked the size and blade shape, just couldnt get used to the lock i guess.
That is curious. The only thing i don't like about the Manix is the lock, and I love the comp. lock on the PM2.

Different strokes for different folks, hah.
I think i liked the manix lock because i carried an axis lock for many years in my early stages of knife addiction, hah.
While they are different locks, they are a similar style in my opinion

Nice lineup!

I have my second Manix 2 inbound. I picked up the Maxamet version for the steel, and instantaneously rejected it because of the handles. I thought I could overlook the plastic FR handles, but nope, not for me at all. Sold it and now have the Fradon 4V (also a steel I want to try!), and with liners and CF slabs. I expect great things from this one.

Up to this point I have had 6 or maybe 7 PM2s and really like that platform, with one exception - the needle-like tip on that blade. I've damaged almost every one of the, several without even knowing when it happened. And I absolutely neer pry with knives. Hoping the Manix 2 tip is a little more robust.

IMHO: the thing with the PM2 is your hand really locks into the PM2 perfectly in only one grip position. I feel like with the Native, Milli and Manix 2 you can have a variety of grips where your hand naturally indexes into the handle perfectly.
